The following deaths have taken place in Donegal:

Jimmy Gildea, Correnagh Letterkenny

The peaceful death has taken place at his home on Friday 20th September 2024 of Jimmy Gildea, Correnagh Letterkenny F92 K6XT.

Deeply missed by his loving wife Marian, son Mark (Karina) and daughters Tanya (Paul) and Laura, grandchildren, brothers Charlie, Vincent, Brendan, Danny and Laurence, sisters Elenor McGill and Ann Toner, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews and a wide circle of family, friends and neighbours.

Jimmy is predeceased by his parents Packie and Mary Jane, sister Josephine Sweeney and brother Patsy.

Rest in Peace.

Jimmy’s remains are reposing at his late residence on Friday 20th September from 4pm until 10pm and on Saturday 21st September from 12 noon until 10pm with Rosary both nights at 9pm.

Funeral from there on Sunday 22nd September at 12.15pm going to the Church of the Irish Martyrs, Ballyraine for 1pm Requiem Mass which can be viewed on https://www.youtube.com/@churchoftheirishmartyrs4657.

Interment afterwards in New Leck Cemetery.

Family time on the morning of the funeral please.

Rose Theresa McDermott Cannon, Magheroarty/Birmingham, Gortahork

The sudden death has taken place in Wolverhampton Hospital, England of Rose Theresa McDermott of Birmingham and formerly of Magheroarty, Gortahork, Co Donegal. Predeceased by her parents Charlie and Ellen, her brother James Anthony.

Survived by her daughters Eve and Clara, her sister Geraldine, brother in law Hughie, nieces Laura and Charlotte, and a circle of family and friends.

Funeral arrangements Later.

 

Fintan Egan Kimmage, Dublin and Bundoran

The death has occurred of Fintan Egan, Kimmage Road West, Dublin 12 and formerly Bundoran.

Mr Egan passed away on Monday, September 9.

Cherished son, brother, uncle, grand-uncle and friend.

Deeply regretted by his siblings Nuala, Malachy and Oliver, together with his sisters-in-law Fiona and Mary. Fintan was particularly proud of his nephews Fergus, Conor, Oliver and his niece Gráinne, who will miss his sense of mischief and fun.

In recent years his beloved grand-niece Leila, grand -nephew Joseph, together with their mother Dani became the focus of his attention.

He will also be missed by his cousins Sean and Harry Reynolds and a wide circle of friends and neighbours.

Michael Toland, Annagh; Clonmany

The death has occurred of Michael Toland, Annagh, Clonmany.

Mr Toland passed away suddenly on Wednesday, September 18.

Beloved husband of Frances and loving father of Michael, Martin and Gerard.

Much loved granddad and father in law.

Michael’s remains are reposing at his home .

A one way system is in operation.

Funeral leaving from there on Saturday, September 21 at 10.30am, going to St Mary’s Church, Clonmany, for Requiem Mass at 11am, with burial afterwards in the new cemetery.

Family flowers only please.

House private please from 10pm till 11am and on the morning of the funeral.
