The death has occurred in the exceptional care of the Director and staff of Arch View Lodge Nursing Home of John McNair, 3 McNeeley Villas, Letterkenny.

Predeceased by wife Marina (nee Fisher), and daughter Janice.

Deeply regretted by his daughter Maureen, Letterkenny; son Reverend Jackie and his wife Andrea, Courtown, Co Wexford ; grandchildren Simon, Alex and Daithi ; Lyndon, Erin, in laws, relatives and friends.

Reposing at The Eternal Light Chapel of Rest, Mountain Top, Letterkenny, F92 XE35 on Saturday, December 6 from 2pm to 5pm, where you are most welcome to pay your respects.

Funeral Service at 2pm on Sunday, December 7 in Conwal Parish Church Letterkenny followed by burial in the family plot in Gortlee Cemetery.

Pat Harkin, Convoy

The peaceful death has taken place on Thursday, December 4 at Lake House Nursing Home, Portnablagh, Co. Donegal of Pat Harkin, Convoy, Co Donegal.

Deeply missed by his loving daughter Marie, son Eddie and their mother Bridie, grandchildren Eoghan Patrick and Shéa, brothers Danny (Eileen) (Convoy) and Eamonn (Grace) (Letterkenny), sister Jean O’Kane (Hugo) (Convoy), brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews and a wide circle of family, friends and neighbours.

Predeceased by his parents Edward and Kathleen, brother Manus and sister Kay Gallagher.

Pat’s remains will be reposing at 7 Oak Park, Convoy F93 RY29 on Friday, December 5 from 6pm until 10pm and on Saturday, December 6 from 12 noon until 10pm with rosary both nights at 9pm.

Funeral on Sunday, December 7 in St Mary’s Church, Convoy at 1.30pm with interment afterwards in The Old Cemetery, Convoy.

Family time on the morning of the funeral please.

Maria Frances Josephine McMenamin, Rossnowlagh

The death has occurred of Maria Frances Josephine McMenamin, Corker, Rossnowlagh.

Ms McMenamin passed away suddenly at her residence on Monday, December 1.

She beloved daughter of the late Mary and Dan McMenamin, Corker, Rossnowlagh.

She lived for many years in America.

She made her home in Braintree, Boston, with her precious son Danny, who sadly predeceased her just a little over one year ago.

Beloved sister to Anna/June, Donal, Nuala, Pauline and their partners. Doting grandmother / Baba to her darlings Shelby & Bailey.

Aunty Josie to Timothy, Siobhan and Hannah.

Aunty Jo to her many much-loved nieces, nephews, grand nieces and grand nephews.

Godmother to Jo-Ann and Stuart.

Her much-loved cousins, lifelong friends and neighbours.

Jo will be sadly missed by so many on both sides of the Atlantic.

Reposing on Saturday, December 13 1.30pm to 3.30pm at John McGee & Sons Funeral home, Belleek Rd, Ballyshannon, F94ED21 where everyone is welcome to say their goodbyes.

Followed by private cremation.

Donations in lieu of flowers to North West Hospice.

Please join her family for soup and sandwiches in Dorrian’s Hotel, Main Street, Ballyshannon at 3.45 pm.

Rachel Maxwell, Mountcharles

The death has occurred of Rachel Maxwell (née Turnbull), Doorin Point, Mountcharles.

Ms Maxwell passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family on Friday, December 5.

Predeceased by her husband Edmund and son Desmond.

Sadly missed by her children Adeline (John), Mervyn (Margaret), Alan, Ivor, Charlotte (Darren), James (Jennifer), Jennifer (Andrew), Grace (Scott) and Nigel, grandchildren Julie, James, Adam, Desmond, Jason, Ben, Daniel, Brian, Nathan, Joshua, Olivia, Reuben, Anabelle, Amanda, Sophie, Ella, Hannah, Sarah, Chloe, Amy, Jamie, Christopher and Rebecca, great grandchild Ella, extended family, friends and neighbours.

Wonderfully cared for by all her home carers, district nurse, doctors and staff in the Primary Care Centre, Donegal town, and NowDoc Mountcharles.

Reposing at the family home Friday 5, December 5 from 6pm to 10pm, and Saturday, December 6 from 3pm to 9pm.

Funeral service in the family home at 2pm Sunday, December 7, with burial in St John’s Church of Ireland graveyard, Inver at approximately 3.30pm.

House private on the morning of the funeral please.

James Gallagher, Letterkenny and Ardara

The death has occurred of James Gallagher, Sallaghagrane, Letterkenny and formerly of Ardara.

Mr Gallagher passed away at Donegal Hospice on Thursday, December 4.

Predeceased by parents Patrick and Bridie, brothers Eugene, Paul, Charlie and Phil.

Sadly missed and lovingly remembered by daughters Amanda (Pat), Laura and son Daniel and their mum Majella, his three adored grandchildren Ryan, Patrick and Layla and his brothers and sisters Teresa, Mark, Kathy, Bridget (Steve), Margaret (Brian), Grainne (Eamonn RIP) and John, nieces and nephews, extended family and friends.

Reposing at McCabe’s Funeral Home, Ardara F94VCK1, from 1pm until 6.30pm, Saturday, December 6, with removal to the Church of the Holy Family, Ardara for 7pm at the request of the deceased.

Funeral Mass at 11am, Sunday, December 7, with burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.

Eamonn (Eddie) McCafferty

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Eamonn (Eddie) McCafferty, a much-loved husband, father, granda, and brother.

Eamonn’s remains will be received into St Gabriel’s Parish, 83 Merrylee Road, Glasgow, on Thursday, December 11 at 5pm.

The funeral Mass will take place at St Gabriel’s on Friday, December 12 at 10am, followed by burial at Linn Cemetery at 11.15am.

A memorial service will be held in St Mary’s Church, Ramelton, Co Donegal, at 11am on Sunday, January 18.

Maura Ronan, Wicklow and Ballintra

The death has occurred of Maura Ronan (née O’Boyle), kilmacanogue, Co Wicklow and formerly of Ballintra, Co Donegal.

Ms Ronan passed away peacefully in the tender and exceptional care of St Joseph’s Nursing Home on Thursday, December 4.

Deeply missed and lovingly remembered by her beloved husband of over 62 years and best friend Michael, her loving sister Frances, and her many and much loved nieces, nephews, in-laws, extended family and friends.

Predeceased by her loving parents, Joseph and Doreen, sisters, Dorothy and Cabrini, and brothers, Sean and Joseph.

A Celebration of Life and Funeral Service will take place at Colliers Funeral Home, Old Connaught Avenue, Bray, A98 PX65 on Monday, December 8 at 12.30pm, followed by cremation at Mount Jerome, Harold’s Cross, D6W HY98.

No flowers please.

Sarah McCrory, Ballindrait

The death has occurred of Sarah McCrory (née Doherty), Cavanacor, Ballindrait, Co. Donegal, F93 EH64.

Lovingly missed by her daughters and sons: Majella, Carmel, Mary, Patrick, Catherine, Maureen, Martin, and Pearse; her sons-in-law, daughters-in-law, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, brother Danny Doherty, nieces, nephews, and all her extended family and friends.

Sarah was predeceased by her husband Liam, parents Thomas and Elizabeth, sisters Eileen Hamilton and Kathleen Lynch, and son-in-law Danny Gillespie. May they all Rest in Peace.

Remains reposing at her late residence.

Funeral from her late residence on Saturday morning, December 6, at 10.30 am, going to St Patrick’s Church, Murlog for 11 am requiem Mass, with burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.

The death has occurred of Frank Porter, Fergus, Dripsey, Cork and formerly of Redcastle.

Mr Porter passed away peacefully at Beaumont Residential Care on Thursday, December 4.

Frank is the beloved husband of the late Bridget and loving father of Wayne and the late Rachel.

Sadly missed by his son, daughter-in-law Liz, grandchildren Mabel, Freya, James and Lexi, brothers Michael and Paul, sisters Nance, Maura and Nora, extended family, friends and his godson Michael.

Margaret McGlynn, Bruckless

The death has occurred of Margaret McGlynn, (née Brosnan), St Theresa’s Avenue, Bruckless and formerly of Kerry, Waterford and London.

Ms McGlynn passed away on Wednesday, December 3.

Predeceased by her loving husband Michael and son Peter, her parents James and Nora and brother Con.

Will be sadly missed by her brother Billy (Linda) and sister Celia (Billy RIP), her extended family, neighbours and friends.

Remains arriving at the Church of Saint Joseph and Saint Conall, Bruckless on Friday at 7 pm to repose overnight.

Funeral Mass on Saturday at 11 am followed by burial in the adjoining cemetery.

Teresa Ferry, Letterkenny

The death has occurred of Teresa Ferry (née Barrett), Carnamuggagh Upper, Letterkenny.

Ms Ferry passed away peacefully in Hillcrest Nursing Home in Letterkenny on Thursday, December 4.

Deeply regretted by her loving family, sons Charlie, Eamonn and Garreth, daughter Sara, daughters-in-law, Colette, Helena and Amy, son-in-law Gavin, grandchildren Conal, Liam, Ciara, Aisling, Orla, Luke, Ryan, Zoé, Lily, Lucy and Eamonn, brother Charlie, sisters-in-law Mary and Rosemarie, nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

Predeceased by her husband Eamonn and her brothers John and Dan.

Reposing at the residence of her daughter Sara and Gavin Crawford, 54, The Grange, Letterkenny, F92 YXT3, today, Friday, December 5 until 8pm.

House private at all other times.

Requiem Mass on Saturday, December 6 at 11am in St Eunan’s Cathedral, Letterkenny.

Burial afterwards in Rathmullan Cemetery.

The death has occurred of Dan Cunningham, St Catherine’s Road, Killybegs.

Mr Cunningham passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on Wednesday, December 3.

Deeply regretted and sadly missed by his wife Bridie, daughters Siobhan (Aidan) and Thérése (Gary), son Stephen, grandsons Cillian, Ben, Eamon and Oisin and his mum Erin and dad Kieran.

Predeceased by his sons Oliver and Matthew, parents Charlie and Hannah, brothers John, Cathal, Michael and James and sisters Mary, Leila and Brìd.

Reposing at his residence on Friday, December 5 until 9pm.

Requiem Mass on Saturday, December 6 in St Mary of the Visitation Church, Killybegs at 11am with burial afterwards in the local cemetery.

Anthony ‘Con’ Gallagher, Frosses

The death has occurred of Anthony ‘Con’ Gallagher, Meenagran, Frosses. He passed away peacefully in London on Tuesday, November 18.

Anthony is predeceased by his wife, Freddie and his siblings, Connie, Kathleen, Marie and Patrick.

Sadly missed by his beloved sons, Anthony (Catherine) and John and is also survived by his loving grandchildren, Catriona, Conal, Ryan, Maeve and Eamonn, his siblings, Theresa, Margaret and Agnes, many nieces and nephews and wide circle of friends in Ireland and the UK.

Anthony’s remains will arrive at The Church of the Blessed Virgin Mary, Frosses, at on Friday, December 5 for reception prayers and to repose overnight.

Requiem Mass on Saturday, December 6 at 11am, with interment immediately afterwards in the church graveyard.
