Roy Davison, Malin

The peaceful death has taken place at Carndonagh Community Hospital of Roy Davison, Glentoskert, Glengad.

Predeceased by his daughter Melissa. Beloved husband of Liz and much loved father of Amanda, Andrew and Kelli.

A devoted grandfather to all his grandchildren, Roy, Annie, Thomas, Lee, Jack, Andrew and Laura. Deeply regretted and sadly missed by his sister Arlene, nieces and nephews, wider family circle, friends and neighbours.

Roy’s remains will leave Eamonn McLaughlin’s Funeral Home, Station Road, Carndonagh today (Friday) at 4pm going to his home.

Funeral from there on Sunday at 2.15pm for 3pm Funeral Mass in St Mary’s Church, Lagg, followed by burial in the adjoining graveyard.

Family time from 10pm to 11am.

Packie Doherty (Packie in Eugenes), Leiter, Culdaff

The peaceful death has taken place at the Donegal Hospice of Packie Doherty (Packie in Eugenes), Leiter, Culdaff.

Beloved brother of Kathleen Boyle, Quigley’s Point and cherished son of the late Eugene and Annie Doherty. Predeceased by his sisters and brothers, Anne, Denis, Henry, Nan, Michael and Eugene.

Deeply regretted and sadly missed by his nieces and nephews, wider family circle, friends and neighbours.

Packie’s remains will repose at the home of his sister, Kathleen Boyle, Quigley’s Point where you are all welcome to pay your respects.

Funeral from there on Sunday at 9.30am for 10.30am Funeral Mass in St Patrick’s Church, Aughaclay, followed by burial in the adjoining cemetery.

Family time from 11pm to 11am.

Michael Joseph Gallagher, Downings

The death has taken place at his late residence surrounded by his loving family of Michael Joseph Gallagher, Gortnaluchoge, Downings.

He is predeceased by his wife Kathleen (2017), and survived by his daughter Maureen Carr (Michael), sons Brian (Eileen), Paul (Noelle), Michael, daughter Kathleen Herraghty (Michael), and son Sean.

His remains are reposing at his late residence. Funeral from there on Saturday going to the Church of St. John the Baptist, Carrigart for requiem Mass at 11am followed by interment in the adjoining cemetery.

Family time from 10pm until 11am and on the morning of the funeral.

Ann McGlinchey, Newtowncunningham

The death has occurred of Ann McGlinchey (née McCollum), Leitrim, Bogay, Newtowncunningham.

Ms McGlinchey passed away peacefully in Letterkenny University Hospital surrounded by her loving family on Tuesday.

Predeceased by her brother John McCollum, sister Mary Patton, grandsons James, Michael McGlinchey and Barry Gallagher.

Loving wife of Fintan, mother and mother-in-law to Mary (Shaun), James (Marion), Jacqueline (Damian), Desmond (Claire), Terry (John) and Dawn (Myles).

Fondly remembered by her 20 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren, Desmond McCollum Scotland, extended family members, neighbours and many friends.

Her remains are reposing at her late residence.

Funeral from there this morning (Friday) for 11am Requiem Mass in All Saints Church, Newtowncunningham, followed by interment in the adjoining cemetery.

Plunkett Duffy, Fahan

The death has occurred of Plunkett Duffy, Lisfannon, Fahan.

He passed away peacefully at his residence on Wednesday.

Predeceased by his parents Philip and Mary-Ellen, his brothers George, Jimmy and his sisters Margaret and Jean.

Plunkett will be sadly missed by his brothers Pat, Liam, Francis, his sister Mary Kemmy, brothers-in- law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, wider family circle and large circle of friends.

His remains will be reposing at his brother Liam and sister-in-law Patricia’s home in Lisfannon, Fahan today, Friday,  from 11am to 11pm where you are welcome to pay your respect.

Removal on Saturday morning at 10.15am to St Mary’s Church, Cockhill for Requiem Mass at 11am followed by interment in the adjoining graveyard.

Family time please on the morning of the Funeral.

Madge Duffy, Derryconnor, Gortahork

The death has occurred of Madge Duffy (née McGinley), Derryconnor, Gortahork.

She passed away suddenly at her home on Wednesday.

Predeceased by her parents John and Madge, her sisters Mary, Biddy, Katherine, Frances, her brothers Charlie, Peter, James and John. Survived by her husband Jim, daughter Maeve, son James Anthony, sisters Bernie, Annie and Oonagh.

Her remains reposed at Gortahork Funeral Premises on Thursday with removal on Thursday evening to Christ the King, Gortahork for Rosary and to repose overnight.

Requiem Mass will take place this morning (Friday) at 11am with burial afterwards in the adjacent cemetery.

Ciaran (Dougie) Dougan, Derry and Buncrana

The death has occurred of Ciaran (Dougie) Dougan, The House in the Wells, St Columb’s Wells, Derry and formerly of Buncrana.

He passed away suddenly on Sunday, August 25.

Beloved son of Brian and the late Deirdre; much loved father of Ciaran and Luke and loving brother of Roisín Cleary and brother-in-law of Stephen Cleary.

Deeply regretted by his father, sons, grandchildren, sister, brother-in-law, nieces, nephews, his wider family circle and friends.

Reposing at his sister Roisín Cleary’s home, 22 Glen View, Clonbeg, Buncrana.

Removal this morning (Friday) at 10.15am to St. Mary’s Church, Cockhill for Requiem Mass at 11am followed by interment in the adjoining cemetery.

House is private on the morning of the funeral please.

Elizabeth Cave, Donegal Town

The death has occurred of Elizabeth Cave (née Coburn), St Ernan’s, Donegal Town.

Ms Cave passed away on Wednesday.

Treasured mother of Sarah (Bob), Vera (Mike), Rachel (Tony) and Richard (Louise).

Predeceased by her husband Stephen and brother John.

Deeply missed by her sisters Marion Burgess and Eleanor Hort and brother James Coburn, nieces and nephews, relatives, friends and neighbours.

Reposing at Gallagher’s Funeral Home, Mountcharles from 5pm – 7pm today (Friday). Funeral service in Donegal Town Church of Ireland at 11am on Saturday, followed by burial in the Glebe Cemetery.

Pat McClean, Malin

The death has occurred of Pat McClean, Carrowmore, Malin.

He passed away peacefully at the Donegal Hospice on Tuesday, August 27.

Beloved brother of Grace Jordan (Patsy) and James Anthony (Nuala).

Deeply regretted and sadly missed by his nieces, Mary, Margaret, Mary, and Grainne, his nephews, Patrick and Mark, the wider family circle, friends and neighbours.

His remains are reposing at his home. Funeral from there today (Friday) at 10.15am for 11am Funeral Mass in St Mary’s Church, Lagg, followed by burial in Lagg Graveyard.
