Death occurs of former UNIFI chief executive, Brian Parke

THE funeral took place yesterday afternoon of the former Chairman and Chief Executive of UNIFI in Letterkenny, Brian Parke.

Mr Parke of Millbrook, Ballyboe, Rathmullan, died in Letterkenny University Hospital on Saturday.

Part of the senior management at UNIFI for many years, Mr Parke was a very well known and highly respected figure.

His remains reposed at his home in Rathmullan on Monday and Tuesday and a Service of Thanksgiving took place in St. Paul’s Church of Ireland, Ramelton yesterday afternoon followed by interment in St. Joseph’s Church Cemetery, Rathmullan.

Predeceased by his parents, Jim and Kathleen and sister, Jean, Mr Parke will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by his family, wife, Anne (née McLoughlin), daughters, Gillian (Malone) and Hilary (Proctor), son, Brian Parke (Jnr), grandchildren, Ben, Ava, Joe, Ted and Emma, sons-in-law, Stephen Malone and Brendan Proctor, daughter-in-law, Ashlea Parke, brother, Ian and sister, Kathy, extended family, neighbours, and many friends.
