The peaceful death has taken place of Sheila McLaughlin (Neé Kearney), 200 Ard Foyle, Moville.

Beloved wife of Willy Doherty (Dick) – deceased, and thereafter, John (Jackie) McLaughlin , also deceased.

Much loved mother of Mary, Richard, Gerard, Frances, Benny, Sheila, Paul, Kevin, Seamus, Eddie, Pat, Dinny, John, Hannah and Mary.

Sheila’s remains will repose at her home this evening, Wednesday, August 21. The wake is private to family and extended family only.

Sheila’s Funeral Mass will take place on tomorrow morning, Thursday, August 22 at 11am in St Michael’s Church, Urris followed by burial at St Mary’s Graveyard, Ballybrack, Greencastle where everyone is welcome to attend.

Family time from 9pm to 11am.

Patrick Keown, Mayo and Ballyshannon

The death has occurred of Patrick Keown, Ballyhaunis Road, Claremorris, Mayo and formerly Ballyshannon.

Mr Keown passed away peacefully surrounded by his family at home following a short illness on Monday, August 19.

He will be forever loved and sadly missed by his loving wife Frances, adored daughter Cathy, sons Desmond and Nigel, daughters-in-law Mary and Cecelia, son-in-law Brian, grandchildren Gillian, Andrew, Megan, Evan, Conor and Eva.

He will be sadly missed by his sister Mary, brothers-in-law Brendan, Michael and Freddie, sisters-in-law Carmel, Betty and Ann, wider family, friends, neighbours and former colleagues of An Garda Siochana.

Reposing at Gilligan’s Funeral Home, Market Square, Claremorris (F12YP74) this evening, Wednesday, August 21 from 6pm to 8pm.

Removal from his residence tomorrow, Thursday, August 22, at 12 noon to Saint Colman’s Church, Claremorris for Funeral Mass for the repose of his soul at 1pm. Burial afterwards in St Colman’s Cemetery.

House private please.

Kay (Kathleen) Doyle (née Anderson), Kilkenny and Castlefinn

The death has occurred of Kay (Kathleen) Doyle (née Anderson), Rathpatrick, Crosspatrick, Co. Kilkenny and formerly Meen Lougher, Castlefin.

Ms Doyle passed away peacefully at Acorn Lodge Nursing Home, Cashel, surrounded by her family on Tuesday, August 20.

She is predeceased by her husband Michael, her parents and brothers and sisters.

She is sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her family, daughters Carina, Geraldine (Geri), Ùna, Colette and Belinda, sons-in-law David, Mike and Troels, grandchildren Charlotte, Matthew, Mae, Millie, Shane, Emily, Sonny, Lily and Dara, great-grandchild Lewis, sister Phylis, brother-in-law, sister-in-law, nieces, nephews, extended family, close neighbours and a wide circle of friends.

Her remains will be reposing at home in Rathpatrick , Crosspatrick (Eircode E41 YA07) this evening, August 21, from 4pm until 8pm.

Removal tomorrow morning, Thursday, August 22, to St Michael’s Church, Crosspatrick arriving for Requiem Mass at 11am.

Interment afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.

Thomas Wilson, St Johnston

The death has occurred of Thomas Wilson, Gillistown, St Johnston and formerly of Cavanacaw, St Johnston.

Mr Wilson passed away suddenly at his home on Sunday, August 18.

Much loved father of Orlagh and Declan, beloved son of Ina and the late Joe Wilson and brother of Mary, Edel, Grainne and Hugh, former husband of Christine.

His remains will be reposing at his home today, Wednesday, August 21 from 12 noon.

Funeral leaving his home on Thursday, August 22 at 10.20am for Requiem Mass in St Baithin’s Church, St Johnston at 11a.m.

Interment afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.

Deeply regretted by his sorrowing son, daughter, mother, brother, sisters and family circle.

Mary O’Shea (née Gallagher), Laghey

The death has occurred of Mary O’Shea (née Gallagher), Bridgetown, Laghey.

Ms O’Shea passed away peacefully in the wonderful care of the amazing staff at the Donegal Hospice, Letterkenny, surrounded by her heartbroken children on Sunday, August 18.

Deeply regretted by her loving daughters, Julie (Emmett), Lola, Sheena (Niamh) and by her loving son, Patrick, her grandsons, Cián, Sé, Iarla, Ryan and Rory.

Funeral Mass to take place this morning, Wednesday, August 21, at 11am in St Brigid’s Church, Ballintra followed by burial in the adjoining graveyard.

Peter McClintock, Raphoe

The death has occurred of Peter McClintock, no.1 Beechwood Avenue, Raphoe.

Mr McClintock passed away suddenly on Sunday, August 18.

Mr McClintock will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his fiancée Roisin, mother Betty, son Kieran (Margaret), brothers William (Charlene), David (Sandra), sisters Mary (Derek), June (Ed), grandchildren Daniel and Anna Rose, nieces, nephews and wider family circle.

Funeral service at his home today, Wednesday, August 21 at 2pm followed by burial in Ballindrait Presbyterian Church graveyard.

Family flowers only donations in lieu if desired to the cancer care centre Letterkenny care of any family member or Terence McClintock funeral director.

Family time please from 10pm to 11am and on the morning of the funeral.

Karl O’Donnell, Glasgow and Portnoo

The death has occurred of Karl O’Donnell, Motherwell, Glasgow and formerly Cashelgolan Clooney, Portnoo.

Mr O’Donnell passed away on Tuesday, August 6.

He will be sadly missed by his wife Gillian and son Jude, mother Monica, father Michael (Susan), brother Declan (Sue) and sisters Geraldine (Johnny), Gemma and Tracey, all his nieces and nephews who loved him dearly, extended family and friends.

Funeral Mass will take place on Friday, August 23 at 9.30am in St. John Bosco’s Catholic Church, 91 Jerviston Street, New Stevenston, Motherwell, Glasgow, followed by Cremation in Holytown Crematorium, Motherwell.

Karl’s Ashes will repose in St. Connells Church Glenties on Sunday, September 8 for Requiem Mass at 11am.

Liam Begley, Milford

The death has occurred of Liam Begley, Glenalla, Milford.

Mr Begley passed away suddenly on Friday, August 16.

He is sadly missed by his loving mother Mary, sisters Noreen, Ann, Pauline and Deirdre, brothers Neil and Mark, brother in-law Philip, sisters-in-law Naomi and Mairead, nieces Emma and Maggie, nephews Christopher, Jack, Dáire and Charlie, uncles, aunts, extended family, neighbours and friends.

Mr Begley is predeceased by his father Willie.

Requiem Mass will take place today, Wednesday, August, 21 at 11am in St Joseph’s Church, Rathmullan followed by burial in Rathmullan Cemetery.

Family time on the morning of the funeral.
