Jim Harris, Cullion Road, Letterkenny

The death took place at Letterkenny University Hospital on Friday of Jim Harris, Coachmills, Cullion Road, Letterkenny.

Deeply missed by his loving brother William and wife Frances, sister Evelyn McKinley and husband Cecil, nephews Geoffrey and Wesley, nieces Lorna and Alyson and extended family, friends and neighbours.

Jim is predeceased by his parents Peter and Dorothy.

His remains will repose at his brother William’s residence at Coachmills, Cullion Road, Letterkenny today (Saturday) from 3pm until 9pm.

Funeral Service of Thanksgiving there on Sunday afternoon, August 25 at 3pm with interment afterwards in Gortlee Cemetery, Letterkenny.

Kathleen Tinney (nee Farrell), Ardnaglass, Ballindrait and formerly Strabane 

The death has taken place on Friday, August 23 surrounded by her loving family at Letterkenny University Hospital of Kathleen Tinney (née Farrell), Ardnaglass, Ballindrait, Lifford and formerly of Craigna Road, Kenaghan, Strabane.

Beloved wife of the late Sean, much loved mother of Rosemarie, Patricia, Tina, Andrew, Damien, Fergal, Paula, Karole and the late baby Martina and sister of the late Willie, Denis, Mary Ellen, Rosaleen, Packie, Peter and Pat.

Reposing at her home today (Saturday) from 2pm.

Funeral leaving her home on Monday (August 26) at 11.20am for Requiem Mass in St Columba`s Church, Doneyloop at 12 noon.

Interment afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.

Family time please from 10pm to 11am.

Connie McFadden, Derryreel, Falcarragh

The peaceful death has taken place at the Donegal Hospice, surrounded by his family, of Connie McFadden, Derryreel, Falcarragh.

Connie will be sadly missed by his loving wife Mary, daughters; Fiona and Teresa, sons; Ciaran and Con, sons-in-law; Eamonn Roarty and Michael Lynch, daughter-in-law; Louise, grandchildren; Conor, Pauric, Olivia, Ella, Emily, Corey, Odhrán and Éadoin, sisters; Sadie McGinley, Grace Coll and Evelyn McConnell, brothers-in-law; Fintan and Peter and extended family, neighbours and friends.

His remains will repose at his late residence this morning (Saturday) from 11am until after the rosary and on Sunday.

Rosary nightly at 9pm.

House private after the rosary and on the morning of the funeral.

Funeral Mass will take place on Monday, August 26 at 12pm in Holy Cross Chapel, Dunfanaghy with interment afterwards in Falcarragh Cemetery.

Family flowers only please, donations in lieu to the Donegal Hospice, c/o any family member or Kieran Roarty Funeral Director.

Traffic management in place – one-way system, please enter from Murroe side and exit at Derryreel East.

Olha Rybachok, Letterkenny and Ardara

The death has taken place at Letterkenny University Hospital of Olha Rybachok, St. Eunan’s Nursing Home, Letterkenny; formerly Ukraine and Ardara.

Olha was the devoted mother of Alexandra and grandmother of Olha Butchenko.

Olha’s remains will leave Marley’s Funeral Home, Drumany, Letterkenny at 10.30am this morning (Saturday) for Requiem Mass in St. Eunan’s Cathedral at 11am, with burial afterwards in New Leck Cemetery, Letterkenny.

Rose Douglas, Bunbeg and Dublin

The death has taken place of Rose Douglas (née Sweeney), Terenure, Dublin and formerly of Bunbeg,  and late of the Assumption Junior National School, Walkinstown, Dublin,  (peacefully in her sleep), at Kiltipper Woods Care Centre.

Rose, beloved wife of the late Peter and dear mother of Jim, Paul, Mary and Lucy; Sadly missed by her loving sons, daughters, brother Danny, sister Bridget, sons-in-law Marco and Dave, daughters-in-law Tina and Marguerite, brother-in-law, sister-in-law, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nephews, nieces, relatives, neighbours and friends.

Reposing on Monday from 4pm to 7pm at the Ramon Massey and Son Funeral Home, 78 Walkinstown Road, D12 PWK0, (opposite Supervalu). Removal on Tuesday to the Church of the Holy Spirit, Greenhills arriving for 10am Mass. Funeral immediately afterwards to Bohernabreena Cemetery.

Michael (Mickey) Shiels, Fanad

The death has occurred of Michael (Mickey) Shiels, Ballylar, Fanad.

Mr Shiels passed away peacefully at his home surrounded by his loving family on Thursday, August 22.

He is predeceased by his son Patrick (2014).

Deeply regretted by his wife Sheila, sons Michael and Brian, daughter Kathleen, daughters-in-law Mary, Pauline and Collette and his son-in-law Alan.

Sadly missed by his adored grand-daughters Lauren, Aideen, Aoife, Caitlin, Eimear, Niamh and Aisling, his extended family, neighbours and many friends.

His remains are reposing at his late residence.

Requiem Mass will be held at 2pm on Sunday, August 25 in St. Mary’s Church, Fanavolty with burial afterwards in the adjoining graveyard.

Rosary at 9pm tonight.

Sean Marley, Stranorlar

The death has occurred of Sean Marley, 6 Chapel Close, Stranorlar.

Mr Marley passed away at Letterkenny University Hospital on Thursday, August 22.

Beloved husband of the late Olive and much loved father of Stephen, and Joseph.

Deeply regretted and sadly missed by his sons, brothers, sister, extended family and friends.

Remains reposing at his late residence.

Funeral leaving his late residence on Saturday, August 24, at 10.30am for Requiem Mass in the Church of Mary Immaculate, Stranorlar at 11am.

Interment afterwards in Drumboe Cemetery.

Anne (Nancy) Herron, Missouri, USA and Ardara

The death has occurred of Anne (Nancy) Herron, St. Louis, Missouri, USA and formerly, Ardara.

Ms Herron passed away on July 8.

She leaves behind beloved family members: her brother Noel (Vancouver, B.C., Canada), his children Sean Herron and Kerry-Ann Herron; her brother Malachy (Birmingham, England), his wife Julia and their children Maura (Jim) Jolliffe, Lynda (Peter) Griffin, Joe (Helen) Herron; and her dear youngest brother Dermot (Ardara, County Donegal, Ireland).

She will be dearly missed by her niece, Amy (Andrew) Miller (Logansport, Indiana) as well as many great nieces and nephews living in US, Canada and UK: Noah Miller, Samuel Miller, Jack Miller, Braedon Herron, Amanda Herron, Niall Jolliffe, Niamh Jolliffe, Daniel Griffin, Jonathan Griffin, Benedict Griffin, Lorna Herron, Ben Herron, Issac Herron and Isabel Herron.

Burial of her ashes will take place this afternoon (Saturday) at 3pm in the family plot in the Church of The Holy Family Graveyard, Ardara.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in memory of Anne Herron to the American Parkinson Disease Association may be made in c/o any family member. 

Vincent Bourke, Ballybofey and Mayo

The death has occurred of Vincent Bourke, Donegal Road, Ballybofey and formerly of Straide, Mayo.

Mr Bourke passed away at Letterkenny University Hospital on Thursday, August 22.

Much loved father of Ciarán, Niamh (Steve), Daireen (Steve) Declan (Karen) cherished brother of Kathleen, Angela, Frances, Paddy, Celine and the late Tom and Mary.

Deeply regretted and sadly missed by his sons, daughters, Majella, brother, sisters, grandchildren Dáire, Rian, Eabha, Fiadh, Oisin, Evan, Amelia, and Croia, brothers and sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, extended family, and friends.

His remains will be reposing at Mc Cool’s Chapel of Rest, Ballybofey today, Saturday, August 24, from 6pm until rosary at 9pm.

Funeral leaving there on Sunday, August 25, at 10.30am for Requiem Mass in the Church of Mary Immaculate, Stranorlar, at 11am with interment afterwards in Drumboe Cemetery.
