Michael (Mickey) Shiels, Fanad
The death has occurred of Michael (Mickey) Shiels, Ballylar, Fanad.
Mr Shiels passed away peacefully at his home surrounded by his loving family on Thursday, August 22.
He is predeceased by his son Patrick (2014).
Deeply regretted by his wife Sheila, sons Michael and Brian, daughter Kathleen, daughters-in-law Mary, Pauline, and Collette and his son-in-law Alan.
Sadly missed by his adored granddaughters Lauren, Aideen, Aoife, Caitlin, Eimear, Niamh and Aisling, his extended family, neighbours and many friends.
His remains will repose at his late residence from 12 noon today, Friday, August 23.
Requiem Mass will be held at 2pm on Sunday, August 25 in St. Mary’s Church, Fanavolty with burial afterwards in the adjoining graveyard.
Rosary at 9pm on both nights of the wake.
Sean Marley, Stranorlar
The death has occurred of Sean Marley, 6 Chapel Close, Stranorlar.
Mr Marley passed away at Letterkenny University Hospital on Thursday, August 22.
Beloved husband of the late Olive and much loved father of Stephen, and Joseph.
Deeply regretted and sadly missed by his sons, brothers, sister, extended family and friends.
Remains reposing at his late residence today, Friday, August 23.
Funeral leaving his late residence on Saturday, August 24, at 10.30am for Requiem Mass in the Church of Mary Immaculate, Stranorlar at 11am.
Interment afterwards in Drumboe Cemetery.
Family time from 10pm to 11am, and on the morning of the funeral.
Anne (Nancy) Herron, Missouri, USA and Ardara
The death has occurred of Anne (Nancy) Herron, St. Louis, Missouri, USA and formerly, Ardara.
Ms Herron passed away on July 8.
She leaves behind beloved family members: her brother Noel (Vancouver, B.C., Canada), his children Sean Herron and Kerry-Ann Herron; her brother Malachy (Birmingham, England), his wife Julia and their children Maura (Jim) Jolliffe, Lynda (Peter) Griffin, Joe (Helen) Herron; and her dear youngest brother Dermot (Ardara, County Donegal, Ireland).
She will be dearly missed by her niece, Amy (Andrew) Miller (Logansport, Indiana) as well as many great nieces and nephews living in US, Canada and UK: Noah Miller, Samuel Miller, Jack Miller, Braedon Herron, Amanda Herron, Niall Jolliffe, Niamh Jolliffe, Daniel Griffin, Jonathan Griffin, Benedict Griffin, Lorna Herron, Ben Herron, Issac Herron and Isabel Herron.
Burial of her ashes will take place on Saturday, August 24 at 3pm in the family plot in the Church of The Holy Family Graveyard, Ardara.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in memory of Anne Herron to the American Parkinson Disease Association may be made in c/o any family member.
Helen Doherty, Donegal Town
The death has taken place of Helen Doherty, Main Street, Donegal Town.
Her remains will be reposing privately at her residence.
Funeral from there this morning, Friday, August 23 at 10.30 am to St Patrick’s Church, Donegal Town.
Burial afterwards in the old Abbey Cemetery.
House is strictly private.

Vincent Bourke, Ballybofey and Mayo
The death has occurred of Vincent Bourke, Donegal Road, Ballybofey and formerly of Straide, Mayo.
Mr Bourke passed away at Letterkenny University Hospital on Thursday, August 22.
Much loved father of Ciarán, Niamh (Steve), Daireen (Steve) Declan (Karen) cherished brother of Kathleen, Angela, Frances, Paddy, Celine and the late Tom and Mary.
Deeply regretted and sadly missed by his sons, daughters, Majella, brother, sisters, grandchildren Dáire, Rian, Eabha, Fiadh, Oisin, Evan, Amelia, and Croia, brothers and sisters in law, nephews, nieces, extended family, and friends.
His remains will be reposing at Mc Cool’s Chapel of Rest, Ballybofey today, Friday, August 23, and Saturday, August 24, from 6 pm until rosary at 9pm.
Funeral leaving there on Sunday, August 25, at 10.30 am for Requiem Mass in the Church of Mary Immaculate, Stranorlar, at 11am with interment afterwards in Drumboe Cemetery.
Sean Kenney, Carrick
The death has occurred of Sean Keeney, 79 Slieve League Avenue, Carrick Upper, Carrick.
Mr Keeney passed away peacefully at Letterkenny University Hospital on Monday, August 19.
Funeral Mass will take place this morning, Friday, August 23 at 11 am in St. Columba’s Church, Carrick with burial immediately afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.
Karl O’Donnell, Glasgow and Portnoo
The death has occurred of Karl O’Donnell, Motherwell, Glasgow and formerly Cashelgolan Clooney, Portnoo.
Mr O’Donnell passed away on Tuesday, August 6.
He will be sadly missed by his wife Gillian and son Jude, mother Monica, father Michael (Susan), brother Declan (Sue) and sisters Geraldine (Johnny), Gemma and Tracey, all his nieces and nephews who loved him dearly, extended family and friends.
Funeral Mass will take place today, August 23 at 9.30am in St. John Bosco’s Catholic Church, 91 Jerviston Street, New Stevenston, Motherwell, Glasgow, followed by Cremation in Holytown Crematorium, Motherwell.
Karl’s Ashes will repose in St. Connells Church Glenties on Sunday, September 8 for Requiem Mass at 11am.
