MEMBERS of the public have until 4.40 pm on Friday, March 30, to make submissions or observations regarding the proposed material alterations Draft County Donegal Development Plan.
The plan sets out the council’s strategic land use objectives and policies for the overall development of the county up to 2018.
Key changes in the new Draft Plan will include restrictions on building on flood plains as well as the reduction in areas of our towns and villages which can be developed.
The public are encouraged to view the proposed amendments, which are available on the council’s website (www.donegalcoco.ie) and also at the Public Service Centres in Letterkenny, Milford, Dungloe, Donegal Town and Carndonagh and at the Planning Office at County House, Lifford.
Submissions in respect of the material alterations can may be made up until Friday, March 30 (inclusive), by emailing cdp.review@donegalcoco.ie or by using the link on the council’s website.
Alternatively submissions or observations can be made in writing to the Central Planning Unit, County House, Lifford, Co. Donegal and marked ‘Material Alterations to draft County Donegal Development Plan 2012–2018’.
Submissions shall be taken into consideration before the making of the plan, but must be received before the close of council business (4.40 PM) on March 30.
