It was a day to remember for Erin and James McShea as the siblings competed at the first round of the RSA Irish Summer Championships in Mondello Park on Saturday.
The Letterkenny teens come from a family steeped in Rallying history from both sides of the family.
Their mother, Noreen McDaid has competed as well as her siblings while her father, the late James McDaid is a legend of Irish Rallying.
Their father is Niall McShea from Enniskillen, who competed in the World Championships and was a winner of the Production World Rally Championships in 2004.
Competing in her first event, Loreto Letterkenny student Erin, 17, was delighted to compete and had dad Niall as navigator, while James, 15, who attends St Eunan’s College, has been competing in the J1000 Championships, took the win in their 1L Micra with Noreen navigating.
