Dave Rogers parts ways with Maltese side Balzan

Dave Rogers has stepped down as Head Coach of Balzan FC.

The former Finn Harps manager took over at the Maltese side in June on a two-year-deal but has lasted just sixth months at the club as they sit bottom of the Premier League.

The side have picked up just one point in their last eight games.

A statement from the club said: “Balzan FC wishes to announce that Dave Rogers has stepped down from his position as First Team Head Coach due to unforeseen personal circumstances.

Club President Anton Tagliaferro said: “We would like to thank Dave for all of his hard work and effort during his time at Balzan FC and wish him and his family well.”

Dave Rogers said: “I have thoroughly enjoyed my time in Malta and especially as Head Coach of Balzan FC though due to unfortunate personal circumstances I must step aside from my position with immediate effect. I wish everyone at Balzan FC the very best for the future.”

Assistant Coach Daryl Willard will continue in his role as caretaker until further announcements.
