DAVE Rogers ‘can’t wait’ to get the new season started as Finn Harps look forward to their first league game of the season this weekend.

Finn Harps were defeated 2-0 by Sligo Rovers on Saturday in their final pre-season friendly, but their manager took plenty of positives from the game and the pre-season campaign.

And now Rogers can’t wait for his first competitive game in charge when they welcome Galway United to Finn Park this Friday.

“Delighted with the performance against a very good Sligo Rovers team,” he told the Donegal News.

“We need to be playing teams that we know that are at a higher level.
