CONTRACTS have been signed which will enable racing to recommence at Lifford Greyhound Stadium on Sunday March 6.
The new owners are Lifford Greyhound Racing Club -Canaradzo Ltd – a syndicate with well in excess of a hundred years of greyhound experience between them.
Harry Findlay, the driving force behind the plan to bring racing back to the track, has confirmed that contracts are now formally in place and that trialling will begin in January.
Mr Findlay said, “There has been such incredible enthusiasm from the greyhound community in the north of Ireland and I’d especially like to thank Cathal Magee, Sean White, Tony Maxwell, Ruiri Doherty and Eamon Shiels.
“Many of the shareholders were at Monday’s meeting and those who hadn’t been to the venue for a while were astounded to see how much work had already been done.”
