Dashcam footage sought after fatal crash in Inishowen

GARDAI are appealing to anyone who may have been travelling on the Muff/Moville road between 3am and 4.30am this morning to get in touch.

A man in his mid-30s was killed when his vehicle was involved in a single car crash at Three Trees, Quigley’s Point, at approximately 4am.

Emergency services and the Coast Guard attended the scene. The driver was pronounced dead at the scene and his body removed to the mortuary at Letterkenny University Hospital for a post-mortem examination.

The road remains closed but is expected to re-open later this afternoon.

A Garda spokesperson said, “Gardaí are appealing to anyone who may have information regarding this incident, particularly any road users with camera footage who were travelling the Muff/Moville road between 3am and 4.30am to contact Buncrana Garda Station on 074 932 0540, the Garda Confidential Line on 1800 666 111 or any Garda Station.”
