Daniel’s firm increases profits to €2million

THE entertainment firm co-owned by singer Daniel O’Donnell increased its accumulated profits to €2.075 million in 2012 after two years of losses.

New figures lodged by O’Donnell’s Brockwell Ltd show the firm recorded a profit of €64,041 for the year. The main activity of the firm is operating concert tours. The business reported a loss before tax of €35,040 in 2011 and €269,035 in 2010.

Accounts for O’Donnell’s Brockwell show that it was charged a total of €705,720 by O’Donnell’s DOD Promotions Ltd in 2012.

At the end of 2012, Brockwell owed DOD Promotions €1 million.

O’Donnell will soon be adding more to his coffers when he commences a UK tour next weekend before touring the US for a number of dates in June. The UK dates follow a successful tour of Australia and New Zealand.

Brockwell is co-owned by O’Donnell and music industry figure Mick Clerkin. Each party owns a 50 per cent share in the firm.

The figures show that, in 2012, Brockwell was charged €211,286 by Seán Reilly Management Ltd, a company controlled by O’Donnell’s manager, Mr Reilly, during 2012.

Mr Reilly was appointed a director to Brockwell in Augusts 2013.
O’Donnell has sold more than 10 million records.
