DANIEL O’Donnell has become the latest name to potentially take part in next year’s Dancing With the Stars when it returns to our screens in January.
Boyle Sports has made the Donegal singer its 6/1 second favourite with fellow rumoured contestant, model Roz Purcell still the frontrunner in the betting at 4/1.
The country music star from Kincasslagh is no stranger to dancing, having taken part in the UK’s Strictly Come Dancing in 2015 where he was the third celebrity to exit the competition.
However, bookies BoyleSports believes Daniels’s sheer star-power in Ireland could see him go a lot further, even potentially winning, should he choose to take part in Dancing With the Stars next year.
Lawrence Lyons, spokesperson for BoyleSports said: “Daniel O’Donnell is country music royalty. He might not be as young or as hip as some of his rumoured co-stars but make no mistake about it – he has a legion of loyal fans all over Ireland that would vote in their droves. Wee Daniel could be the biggest sure thing if he does decide to dust off his dance shoes.”
Behind Tipperary model and TV personality, Roz Purcell at 4/1 and Daniel at 6/1 in the betting, is TikTok star Tadhg Fleming, now at 7/1, Wild Youth frontman and former Eurovision hopeful David Whelan at 9/1 and retired RTE newsreader Eileen Dunne, who is 12/1. Former Late Late Show host Ryan Tubridy is the 50/1 outsider on BoyleSports’ list.
