Daniel O’Donnell has emerged as the hot favourite to replace Ryan Tubridy on the Late Late Show, according to Ladbrokes.
Since Ryan Tubridy announced his departure, Claire Byrne had been the bookies frontrunner, but following a surge in support overnight, country music icon O’Donnell has shot into the top spot and is now the EVEN MONEY favourite to take over the chat show gig.
Nicola McGeady of Ladbrokes said, While there has been no shortage of names in the mix for the Late Late Show job, we have been particularly floored by the support for Daniel O’Donnell. If this latest money is anything to go by, Daniel won’t just be at the helm of the Late Late Country Special once a year, but could become a permanent fixture on our screens every Friday night!
