LETTERKNNY Rovers FC have confirmed that their pitch at the Aura Leisure Complex is to remain closed for a number of months.
It comes after the pitch was inadvertently treated with the wrong chemical when the intention was to spray weed killer.
The damage caused to the playing surface has resulted in the immediate closure of the pitch.

As anchor tenants at the Aura, Letterkenny Rovers maintain the upkeep of the pitch and the schoolboy pitch towards the back of the complex.
Work has already got underway to address the damage caused to the main pitch.
