He’s back, Daithi the DJ!
ON St Stephen’s Day, December 26, Daithi Ramsay will once again take to the decks for his now customary Boxing night disco in Letterkenny’s Central Nightclub on the Main Street.
“It’s such a fantastic time to do something to get everyone together in one spot, and the Central is really handy, it’s lovely to see everyone who is home for the holidays busy catching up with each other, and everyone in such a jolly mood,” explains Daithi.
“Everyone either tends to know each other or is friends with someone who is friends with .. so it’s a really easy going atmosphere.
“As usual I’ll be playing tunes from the 1950s right up to the latest hits that I like so it’s a night where you could hear anything and hopefully you’ll hear your favourite tune.
“Obviously there are the big tunes for me like Blister in the Sun, No Diggity, Superstylin’, Proud Mary and plenty of soul and a splash of ska and reggae, but there’ll also be newer tracks from local heroes In Their Thousands and The Heads of State in there too.
“The great thing about St Stephen’s night is that people come in early, they are there when the doors open at 11pm so we get a great night out of it. It’s the only night I’m doing over the holidays so hopefully it’ll be one to remember.”
