Dáire Ó Baoill has been nominated for the GAA.ie Player of the Week for his performance in Donegal’s Division 1 opener against Dublin on Saturday.
The Gaoth Dobhair man kicked four points in total for a tally of 0-6 from play as he kicked two two-pointers in the first half in the 0-20 to 0-16 win in MacCumhaill Park.
Ó Baill was nominated for the award with Galway’s Shane Walsh and Conor McCarthy of Monaghan.
Walsh kicked 0-9 as Galway overcame neighbours Mayo, including two two-pointers from play and another brace from frees. Monaghan wingback McCarthy impressed as he kicked 0-7 from play in their 2-29 to 2-21 win over Westmeath.
