Dáire Ó Baoill has been nominated for the GAA.ie Player of the Week for his performance against Derry on Saturday.
The Gaoth Dobhair clubman hit two superb lobbed goals as he finished the game with a tally of 2-1 as Donegal upset Derry in Celtic Park.
Ó Baoill was influential in the win and his goals made a massive difference as Donegal’s 4-11 to 0-17 win helped them advance to the semi-finals of the Ulster championship.
Galway’s Rob Finnerty and Mayo’s Ryan O’Donoghue are also nominated for the award as their sides reached the Connacht final.
Galway were fortunate to survive a serious scare at Markievicz Park against Sligo with Rob Finnerty’s last gasp goal the decisive moment. Salthill-Knocknacarra clubman Finnerty impressed for the Tribesmen, registering 1-5.
O’Donoghue starred again for Mayo against Roscommon in the Connacht SFC at Dr Hyde Park, finishing with seven points.
