DEPUTY Charles Ward has told the Dáil that Donegal is in desperate need for a surgical hub.
“Patients across the county are forced to travel very long distances to access essential care and life saving surgeries.
Letterkenny University Hospital is severely underfunded and has insufficient resources to address the healthcare needs of people in the north west.”

During a recent meeting of the Regional Health Forum West it emerged that a new surgical hub for the north west would be developed at Sligo University Hospital, instead of LUH.
