A LETTERKENNY hair salon is busy putting the final touches to its annual charity fun day this Sunday – and you’re all invited.
B Bobs Unisex Hair Salon, on Pearse Road, will host its 11th charity day with funds raised this year going to help the work of The Good and New Cancer Bus and mental health.
The annual event has raised more than €60,000 for charities over the years, and B Bobs staff hope this Sunday’s event will be as successful as ever.
Lots of fun and laughter is promised and there will be many opportunities to scoop a number of spot prizes, which have been donated by businesses in the town. Martin Anderson, from Highland Bakery, will be providing some delicious treats for everyone to enjoy.
Brigde Lavery-Diver, Veronica McGinley and all the staff of B Bobs hope to see as many people as possible in the salon on Sunday to help raise money to support the work of two tremendous charities.
“It is always a brilliant day,” said Brigde.
“There will be loads of spot prizes to be won and all money raised will be to support the work of The Good and New Cancer Bus and mental health.”
Brigde said the fun charity event has grown from its early years.
“It all started when we moved to Pearse Road. We wanted to give something back and we found a way to do that. Every penny raised is donated to the named charities.
“It is always a brilliant day and everyone is welcome.”
As well as the annual event, local sporting heroes are preparing to take part in a calendar photo shoot later this month. All money raised from the sales of the calendars, when produced, will also be donated to The Good and New Cancer Bus and mental health.
Sunday’s charity event takes place from 1pm to 5pm.
