Currys Letterkenny staff shave heads to raise funds for Donegal Hospice

Currys Letterkenny General Manager Martin Goldrick, and Currys Letterkenny Sales Manager Fred Williams, shaved their heads on Black Friday in a bid to raise much needed funds for Donegal Hospice.

Their fundraising efforts have now exceeded €2,000!

Speaking about the fundraiser, Martin said The Donegal Hospice is part of everyday life here in Donegal and provides exemplary cover and care to all who need to avail of its services.

“Like so many others, cancer has come into our colleagues’ lives here in Currys Letterkenny, so myself and the team wanted to help the hospice by way of holding a head shave fundraising event on Black Friday.

“The hospice relies on fundraisers like this for at least 20% of the funding they need in order to buy specialist equipment, so we hope that our event has helped them out,” he said.

Previous events in store to raise funds for Donegal Cancer have always been a huge success with the local community getting on board and donating funds, and Martin and the team hopes this event will be the same!
