MAXI Curran and his St Ernat’s, Moneyglass side will be going through their final preparations ahead of this weekend’s All-Ireland Ladies Senior Club Championship Final against Kilkerrin-Cloberne.
Curran has already guided the side to a historic Ulster title this term, becoming the first Antrim club to seal provincial glory when they defeated Errigal Ciarran from Tyrone in last month’s decider.
This led them to the All-Ireland Club Championship Semi-Final where they got the better of Kilmacud Crokes courtesy of a two-point win, with Donegal native Niamh Carr lining out for the Dublin club.
This victory created another bit of history, becoming the first side from the Saffron County to reach an All-Ireland decider.
They’ll be aiming to land one more piece of history this Sunday at GAA Headquarters when they face Kilkerrin-Cloberne.
The Galway club overcame Munster Club Champions Comeragh by 11 points in their last four encounter and they should provide Curran’s outfit with a good challenge at Croke Park this Saturday.
