Cullen hails McCann’s influence

DONEGAL stalwart Danny Cullen has hailed the impact of bainisteoir Mickey McCann and his backroom team as they gear up for another tilt at Croke Park glory this week.

It is very unusual for a manager to be in situ for six years but that’s the case for McCann and he is one of the longest-serving managers in the country.

He has already led the team to Nickey Rackard Cup glory, but he will try to do it again this week, and is constantly trying to drive up the hurling standards in the county.

Cullen is full of praise for the service McCann and his helpers have given to Donegal hurling.

“It’s huge. He’s a fantastic manager.

“He would be very fair across the board and he’s got a knack of winning too.”
