GARDAI are hunting a gang behind a robbery at a chinese takeaway in Newtowncunningham.
The spate of robberies and burglaries in the local area over the past few weeks continued on Saturday night when the Chinese family, who own and run the village takeaway (Newtown’s Chinese City) were the victims.
Two men in their late 20s arrived at the chinese take-away around 8.20 pm with their faces partially covered. A garda spokesman confirmed yesterday the X5 Jeep they used had been stolen in Dublin on Saturday.
