Creeslough Sheep Show raises funds for local youth club

THE Creeslough Sheep Show recently took place in The Field, Creeslough.

The event began with a section for young handlers, providing an opportunity for local youth to demonstrate their skills in showing sheep.

In the Aged Ram category, Mick O’Donnell took first place, followed by Tommy Lagan in second and Caolán Mc Gee in third.

The Ram Lamb class saw Aidan Connolly awarded first place, Hughie Montgomery awarded second, and Jason Ward third.

In the Aged Ewe category, Conor Friel claimed first place, with Hughie Montgomery securing both second and third positions.

The Hogget Ewe class was won by Conor Friel, with Mick O’Donnell in second and Ryan Mc Cafferty in third.

In the Pair of Hoggets category, Conor Friel again took first place, followed by Ryan
McCafferty in second and Mick O’Donnell in third.

Caolán Mc Gee secured first place in the Ewe Lamb class, with Mick O’Donnell and Aidan Connolly taking second and third places, respectively.

In the Pair of Ewe Lambs category, Mick O’Donnell was awarded first place, Caolán Mc Gee second, and Aidan Connolly third.

Caolán Mc Gee was named Reserve Champion, while the Overall Champion was Conor Friel.

The organisers extended their gratitude to the event sponsors, including Ards Business Services Creeslough, Homeland Creeslough, Gibsons Fam Supplies Dunfanaghy, John Mc Gee Ram Testing Creeslough, Scrumptious Ice Cream Creeslough, and The Creeslough Community Association.

Special thanks were also offered to John Boyle, who served as judge, and to everyone who contributed to making the show a success.

The event was expertly organised by James Mc Gee, whose efforts, along with the support of the local community, ensured that the show was a huge success.
