Creeslough community encouraged to attend meeting tonight

THE Creeslough community are being encouraged to attend a meeting to discuss the expenditure of the remaining €200,000 from Irish Red Cross Creeslough Community Fund.

The Irish Red Cross are encouraging members of the community to attend the meeting which takes place today (Wednesday, May 24) at 7.30pm in the Creeslough Day Centre.

The Creeslough Community Support Fund which was established in response to the tragedy has raised over €1.88 million in funds for those affected.

To date the organisation has distributed the money raised to emergency and planned support for the community of Creeslough, including people who have been bereaved, injured, made homeless or left without an income following the explosion.

At tonight’s meeting the community will consider a plan as to how the €200,000 remaining sum will be spent.
