DONEGAL Creameries has shown a significant rise in revenue and is now worth almost €70 million, according to their Annual Report for 2011.

Last year saw a significant change for Donegal Creameries with the sale of the liquid milk end of their business to Connacht Gold and the sale of their Agri-stores. The key message from Managing Director, Mr Ian Ireland, however, is that they are still very much a “strong Donegal company”.

Following these major changes, the company has now refocused their attention on their other interests, in the niche dairy, snack production, organic and seed potato markets.

Last year, the company also made key investments in ‘Biogreen’ a boutique yoghurt business based in London as well as the AJ Allan Seed Potato Group in Scotland.
