Craft fairs this weekend

THERE are serveral craft fairs taking place in Letterkeny this weekend.

Conwal Parish Church Craft Fair will be held on Saturday from 11am to 3pm in Conwal Parish Church Hall.

There will be homemade crafts, baking and festive treats.

An Grianán Theatre’s annual Christmas craft and art fair is also taking place this Saturday from 10am to 4pm.

Stallholders are selected to provide a range of the best locally produced pottery and ceramics, textiles, batiks, fashion, jewellery, art prints and more from the finest designers, makers and artists in the North West.

Admission is free and this year’s list of crafters includes Ger Roche, Catherine Standing, Bower Pottery, 1st House, Milford, Deirdre Ramsay Jewellery, Emory and Rueben, Amy Boyce, Suzi Maclaurin, Bridge Henderson, Kevin Mc Monagle, Garry Mc Garvey, Seagull Island Design Studio, Deirdre Nesbitt, Mary Doherty, Shaun Mc Fadden, Shelagh Dwyer and Audrey Henry.

Meanwhile Donegal Women’s Centre will host a Christmas craft fair on Saturday from 11am to 4pm.

All the crafts on sale have been made by the participants of the centre’s classes, which include Ukrainian women and women living in IPAS centres.

The family fun event, at Port Road, will include face painting, stalls, handmade crafts, santa’s grotto, a raffle and refreshments.
