And then there were four...

And then there were four…

REIGNING champions St Eunan’s have been drawn against St Michael’s in a mouth-watering semi-final clash in this year’s Donegal SFC.
The Cathedral Town team beat Glenswilly in a repeat of last year’s final in the last of the quarter finals at MacCumhaill Park this evening.
Maxi Curran’s men led by two at the break (1-04 to 0-05), Lee McMonagle scroing the goal from the penalty spot, before pushing on after the break with further goals from Conall Dunne and McMonagle to eventually win by eight 3-07 to 0-08.
Both sides lost a player to red cards at the three-quarter mark with Glen’s Brian Farrelly receiving a straight red while Rory Kavanagh, on his return from the US, picked up a second yellow during the same incident.
St Michael’s were impressive in putting Malin to the sword at O’Donnell earlier in the afternoon yesterday with corner forward Andrew Kelly scoring two goals in their 3-15 to 1-05 win. Ciaran Gallagher scored the other goal for the Cresslough/Dunfanaghy men.
Kilcar, bidding to reach the final for the first time since 1993, put Four Masters to the sword in the first quarter final which was played in Killybegs on Saturday afternoon. They had fourteen points in hand on the Donegal Town men (3-13 to 0-08) with Ryan McHugh, Andrew McClean and Stephen McBrearty scoring the goals.
They wil lock horns with Naomh Conaill who overcame a dogged Termon side at a drenched MacCumahill Park on Saturday night to progress.
Martin Regan’s team were not at their best and they could have been beaten if Termon were more clinical. In the end they won by three, 0-11 to 1-05
Meanwhile, Ardara and Cloughaneely must meet against after their relegation play-off semi-final ended in a draw in Glenswilly yesterday afternoon 0-13 to 2-07
