LloydsPharmacy in Letterkenny has been confirmed by the HSE as one of five LloydsPharmacy stores so far in the Republic of Ireland to administer the COVID-19 vaccine to patients. This week, the HSE approved the rollout of the COVID-19 vaccine in a select number of pharmacies in Ireland.
Patients receiving their vaccines from the pharmacy do not need to register online. They just need to contact their pharmacy. Patients over the age of 50 can register directly with any of the five LloydsPharmacy stores, in person or via phone, to book their vaccine appointment. Pharmacies participating in the vaccine rollout will administer the Janssen/J&J one-shot vaccination initially.
Chris McGarrity, Supervising Pharmacist at LloydsPharmacy Letterkenny said, “We are delighted and proud to have been selected by the HSE to administer the COVID-19 vaccine to the Donegal community. I would encourage anyone in Donegal over the age of fifty who has yet to receive their vaccination to book an appointment with us, either by coming into the pharmacy in person, or by calling us on (074) 910 2070.
“All LloydsPharmacy stores administering the vaccine have a dedicated consultation room where the vaccination will take place. If you have any questions or concerns about the vaccine, drop into your local LloydsPharmacy to talk to a pharmacist.”
Along with LloydsPharmacy Letterkenny four other LloydsPharmacy stores have been selected by the HSE to administer the COVID-19 vaccine. They are LloydsPharmacy Ringsend, Dublin 4; Castletroy, Co. Limerick; Charleville, Co. Cork; and Sky Court Shopping Centre, Shannon, Co. Clare. More information and details on how to register can be found on the dedicated LloydsPharmacy COVID-19 vaccineweb page.
