Construction work on a new courthouse in Letterkenny is expected to start next year, according to Deputy Joe McHugh.
The courthouse was included in a €2.25 billion employment stimulus programme announced by the government this week. Two primary health care centres inDonegal Town and Dungloe were also inclouded although they will require local investment from the medical continue before proceeding.
The €2.25bn fund consists of €1.4bn Government funding, which has been sourced from the National Pension Reserve Fund, the European Investment Bank, domestic banks, together with €825m from private investment.
