Counting under way in Donegal

COUNTING in the referendum to decide the future of the eighth amendment is under way in Donegal.

Supporters from both sides of the debate gathered at Aura Leisure Centre from shortly after 8am before being admitted shortly before 10am.

Early projections are that Ireland has backed a yes vote however Donegal is expected to be one of the tightest constituencies in Ireland.
