COUNTING has commenced in Donegal following yesterday’s voting.
Boxes were opened at 9am and Letterkenny’s Aura Leisure Centre is already busy with candidates, supporters and media in attendance.
Thirteen candidates are vying for five seats in Donegal and the first result is expected in around 7pm this evening.
According to last night’s exit polls, Sinn Fein, Fianna and Fail and Fine Gael are all tied on 22 per-cent. In Donegal there is strong speculation that Sinn Fein could take two seats. At whose expense remains to be seen.
