COUNTING has been suspended at the Aura Leisure Centre in Letterkenny until the morning.
Sinn Fein’s Pearse Doherty and Padraig MacLochlainn were elected on the first count earlier this evening.
There is still three seats to fill and it is all to play for when counting resumes at 10am. Pearse Doherty’s surplus was distributed after the first count with Thomas Pringle and Pat the Cope Gallagher picking up the most votes. Padraig MacLochlainn’s surplus will be distributed when counting resumes.
