COUNTING of the boxes from the Letterkenny electoral area is now well underway at the Aura where Sinn Fein’s Pádraig Mac Lochlainn has already secured 11,568 first preference votes.
Fianna Fail’s Charlie McConalogue is now on 7,185 votes but will be disappointed with his performance in Inishowen.
Independent John O’Donnell and Fine Gael’s Joe McHugh have picked up votes in the Letterkenny area and those candidates are now on 3,366 and 4,655 votes respectively.

Sinn Fein’s Pearse Doherty is also polling well and has secured 5,477 first preferences so far.
