Donegal County Council’s gritting service will not now be deployed this evening.
Earlier today, the council said the gritting service would be in operation due to the forecasted drop in temperatures.
However, pointing out that such information can change at short notice, the council have this afternoon said the gritting service won’t be needed this evening after all.
Met Éireann is predicting low temperatures later this evening and there is a chance of some hail showers.
Tonight, there will be outbreaks of rain with clear spells and scattered showers and a continuing chance of hail.
Lowest temperatures are forecast of 1 to 4 degrees.
