Council’s gritters will be out at 4pm this evening

DONEGAL County Council’s gritting service will be deployed again this evening with staff taking to all designated routes from 4pm.

And with another cold night in store, the service will operate again on Sunday morning from 6am.

It’s been a busy week for the council’s gritting service with freezing temperatures leaving roads in very dangerous conditions across the county.

Lowest temperatures tonight will be 0 to +3 degrees with some frost developing in light to moderate northeast winds.

Sunday will be cold again and it will be a cloudier day but remaining dry. Highest temperatures are forecast of 4 to 7 degrees in a light northeast breeze.
