DONEGAL county councillors have voted to remove Independent Councillor Frank McBrearty from its monthly meeting.
Councillors have also voted to reduce his pay by 10 per cent.
The meeting is taking place this morning in the Lifford County House.
The meeting was adjourned around 12.30pm this morning by Cathaoirleach Liam Blaney following an interaction with Cllr Frank McBrearty.
When the meeting recommenced, Cllr Blaney said Cllr McBrearty was acting disorderly and disrupting the meeting and moved to take a vote on his removal from the meeting.
The councillors decided by 30 votes to two to remove Cllr McBrearty, with Independent Councillor Michael Cholm MacGiolla Easbuig abstaining from voting and Cllr Frank McBrearty voted against his removal.
