DONEGAL County Councillors are considering suspending Cllr Frank McBrearty from all Council activities for at least one month.
The January Council meeting has been adjourned six times following a number of heated discussions between Cllr Frank McBrearty and Cathaoirleach Jack Murray.
The meeting has now been adjourned for the sixth time until 3pm.
Members will then vote on Cllr McBrearty’s suspension from all Council activities for one month but not exceeding three months.
Cllr McBrearty continues to refuse to leave the meeting and has questioned the legalities of the move.
Previously the Councillors voted to have Cllr McBrearty removed from the meeting but he refused to leave.
Councillors then voted for a ten per cent pay reduction of Cllr McBrearty’s remuneration and expenses due to his refusal to leave the meeting.
