COUNCILLORS and staff at Donegal County Council enjoy lunches and snacks subsidised by the tax payer at the Court House Bistro in Lifford, it emerged this week.
The Donegal News has learned that a 25 per cent discount is given to County Councillors and staff of the council on their meals and snacks, which is then paid back to the restaurant by the county council.
Court House Bistro Manager Gillian Graham confirmed that this arrangement had been in place ‘for a number of years’.
