THE 100% Redress Party have confirmed that Councillor Tomás-Sean Devine has been appointed Chair of the Defective Concrete Blocks (DCB) Committee following a meeting that took place Monday, July 21.
Councillor Devine takes up the role with immediate effect and has expressed his determination to drive improvements to the redress process for homeowners impacted by defective blocks.
Councillor Devine expressed that he was honoured by the confidence shown in him by colleagues and pledged to work tirelessly to deliver better outcomes for impacted families.
“I am delighted to take over as Chair of the DCB Committee at this critical time,” Councillor Devine said.
Deputy Charles Ward welcomed Councillor Devine’s appointment and underlined the Party’s commitment to delivering change, “This is an important step in our ongoing work to secure 100% redress in both principle and practice.”
Councillor Devine also emphasised the need for stronger collaboration among all key bodies.
Councillor Devine said his priorities would include streamlining the process, improving communication with homeowners, and pressing for clear timelines and timely drawdowns of payments.
