LAST week councillors from the Lifford-Stranorlar Municipal District visited the recently completed second phase of the new social housing
development at Corran an Lín, Convoy.
The council signed a contract with Meadowfield Development Limited in February 2024 for the acquisition of 24 social housing units, to be delivered across two phases.
Phase 1 consisted of 11 homes, including nine two-bedroom and two three-bedroom properties.
Phase 2 comprises the remaining 13 homes, made up of seven two-bedroom, four three-bedroom and two four-bedroom houses.
All properties are modern, energy efficient A-rated homes, featuring timber frame construction, air-to-water heat pumps, under floor heating, and triple-glazed windows and doors, ensuring high standards of comfort and sustainability.
New tenants for Phase 2 are expected to receive their keys in the coming weeks, marking another important step in providing quality social housing within the district.
