DONEGAL County Council’s gritting service will be deployed this evening amid a drop in temperatures across Donegal.
It’s the first time this winter that the gritters will be out on our roads – and a sign that winter is well and truly here.
The council say all designated Donegal Winter Maintenance Routes will be gritted from 6pm on Sunday.

They are asking that all motorists to assume no road is ice free.
While it was a nice day here in Donegal, early morning risers awoke to bitterly cold conditions this morning.
