Could you be the next teen acting sensation?

The Workhouse Theatre is bringing back its summer camp with things kicking off on June 11. Places are limited so booking is advised.

THE Workhouse Theatre Company is running its two week Summer camp again this year with curtain up on June 11.

The camp will be produced in association with Century Complex, Letterkenny, while YouthLab will cover all aspects of acting and performance for teenagers of all abilities.

The course will allow students to get a feel of what life is like in drama school and what is needed to get there. Places are really filling up so all those interested should book as soon as possible to avoid disappointment.

Now in its fourth year, the camp will run from June 11 to June 22, Monday to Friday 9.30am to 4.30pm.

The aim of the course is to harness existing talent and to promote emerging actors and actresses.

Letterkenny’s Kieron Clarke, a past participant of summer camp, said: “This course taught me everything I know and I still use what I learnt every day in college and for my own projects. I’ve also been lucky enough to help facilitate it a few times and met friends that I still call best mates today.

“The course’s intensive training style is perfect for upcoming emerging talent, who dream of starring on screen or lighting up the stage.”

Another former student, Emma Rose Callaghan from Burt, who went on to study in the UK, said the course was “an amazing opportunity for any budding performers to enhance their skills and learn from the best teachers”.

The course will take place at the RCC in Letterkenny and will cost €140 for the two weeks. To book please call 0871476223 or email info@workhouse.ie. All details can be found at www.workhouse.ie or Workhouse Theatre Company Facebook page.
