“We are also deeply grateful to John Casey and the Casey family for generously providing the renowned St Patrick’s Links at Rosapenna free of charge for our Football Golf Classic – an event that thrives under the leadership of Fr Charlie Byrne and the Golf Fundraising Committee.
“Sincere appreciation is also extended to our 40 clubs across the county for their continued support in all fundraising efforts. None of this would be possible without your collective commitment.”
Boyle praised Donegal GAA’s office staff Lisa McTernan and Eilish Rushe for their work in a demanding year, which included the distribution of approximately €2.2 million worth of tickets.
Termon GAA’s Boyle also confirmed that Donegal GAA had reached a settlement with Revenue following a voluntary disclosure review.
Boyle said: “This year, Croke Park initiated a Revenue Self-Review with Donegal GAA, commencing in June and lasting around twelve weeks.
“The review focused on the 2024 financial year, with extrapolated calculations applied to 2021-2023.
“It was a demanding process, coinciding with the All-Ireland Series.
“Donegal worked closely with Croke Park personnel, who were simultaneously engaged with several other counties.
“A conclusion was reached on the 12th of September, presented to the three principal officers and Eilish Rushe, who were asked to treat the findings confidentially.
“The matter was discussed at the Executive Meeting on 15th October, where it was agreed to accept the conclusions and make payment before year-end.
“As in other counties, Revenue has not yet formally accepted Donegal’s statement of liabilities.
“All 32 participating counties will undergo examination simultaneously, and some may face additional queries.
“We now await further developments in due course.”
CLG Dhun na nGall has net assets of €3,597,187 at the end of the year.
