Cork penalty denies Finn Harps the win in Finn Park

Finn Harps 1 Cork City 1

Finn Harps were denied a win on their first home game as they shared the points with Cork City in Finn Park.

A mishap from Sean Murray as his pass back from the halfway line to his ‘keeper was short and Success Edogun got to it first and curled it around Bradley Wade from 30 yards to give the Harps the lead.

Neither goalkeeper had many saves to make but Cork did equalise as Matthew Makinson slipped and referee Marc Lynch signalled for a penalty and handball which Jack Doherty fired in to level the game.

Tony McNamee went close from a free while Cork also searched for the winner but a point apiece was the outcome.
