ST Mary’s Convoy are hopeful that their star player Paddy Dolan will be fit to line out in their Junior ‘A’ Championship semi-final with Buncrana this Saturday.
Dolan was ill last week and was only able to come on in the latter stages of Convoy’s win over Naomh Pádraig, Muff.
Laurence McMullan’s side had enough quality to win that match without him, but there’s no doubt that the Donegal Under 20 star will be needed this week against the championship favourites, Buncrana.
“Hopefully Patrick will be good to go this week,” said player-manager McMullan.
“He had tonsillitis last week and it took a brave toll on him.
“We’re hoping he will be ok, but you just don’t know. We haven’t had a championship game yet where we didn’t lose a player between the Thursday night and the weekend, but hopefully we will have everyone this week.”
