Convoy of brand new McGinley coaches arriving in Donegal today

A fleet of brand new buses will arrive in Donegal later this afternoon – and it promises to be a sight to be seen.

The ten brand new Volvo 9700 coaches are being added to McGinley Coach Travel fleet and the company announced their acquisition today.

In a post on social media, McGinley Coach Travel say they have been waiting in anticipation ahead of the big day when they would finally taken ownership of the new coaches.

“The vehicles finally arrived at Volvo’s Irish commercials depot in Naas last month and have been undergoing final tests for the last number of weeks.

“This morning after a handover from Volvo we finally got our hands on our new motors.

“We will shortly be on our way to the hills of Donegal so keep your eye out for our Convoy as we head north via the M1, N2, and A5. towards home.”

The convoy of coaches is expected to arrive in Letterkenny at 3pm and at the company depot  in Magheroarty around 4pm.

“If you are in the area feel free to call in, we will have the kettle on!” the spokesperson added.
